The Lodger

Biog

The Lodger began in a Leeds bedsit in 2004 as the solo project of Pontefract-born songwriter, singer and guitarist Ben Siddall, quickly becoming a three, and eventually four piece band comprising of Siddall, Joe Margetts (bass), Bruce Renshaw (drums), and newest addition, Tim Corbridge (guitar, lap steel).

Following the release of a series of well-received 7" singles on a variety of independent labels such as Angular Records and Dance to the Radio, debut album 'Grown-Ups' was unleashed worldwide in June 2007, to a warm reception.

This was swiftly followed up by the band's second record, 'Life Is Sweet', released in May 2008 by various labels across the globe, including the legendary Slumberland Records in the US, and coincided with tours of the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA, plus festival appearances.

While the band worked on album three, 'I Think I Need You', a stop-gap EP was issued by Elefant Records of Madrid in June 2009.

Third album, 'Flashbacks', was produced by veteran Leeds producer, Richard Formby (Wild Beasts, Spacemen 3) and features an additional ensemble of seven cohorts and co-conspirators.
